GB1 pull out of race day two of the 38th America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta Sardinia due to a Hydraulic issue.

GB1 has had to pull out of day two of racing at the Preliminary Regatta Sardinia today due to a hydraulic issue on its AC40 race boat.

The team was completing warm-up laps when it lost control of the flap on the port-side foil. After investigation, it was quickly identified that the AC40 race boat was not sailable.

This issue compounds yesterday’s problems on day one, when the team missed the first two of the day’s three races due to failure of a one-design supplied part of its AC40.

Work is now underway to get the team back on the water for the final day of racing on Sunday and a full review will be undertaken.
