The countdown is on to the second Preliminary Regatta of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup cycle, with Naples preparing to welcome the world's best sailors for four days of racing and entertainment from 24-27 September.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Bay of Naples, Preliminary Regatta Two offers teams one final opportunity to build momentum and confidence before the America's Cup campaign moves into its next phase.
For fans attending the event, organisers have expanded the free-entry Official Race Village along the Lungomare Caracciolo, providing even more viewing opportunities and activities throughout the regatta weekend.
At the heart of the race village will be the main stage, where supporters can get closer to the teams through daily dock-out and dock-in shows. Sailors and team members will appear on stage each day from 25-27 September, while all competing teams will be formally introduced during the Official Teams Presentation on Thursday 24 September following practice racing.
Away from the water, visitors can enjoy a packed programme of entertainment, including live music performances, interactive displays and sponsor activations. Food stalls, merchandise outlets and a beachfront bar will also be open throughout the event, creating a festival atmosphere in one of Italy's most iconic waterfront locations.
The racing gets underway at 14:00 CEST each day and will follow a fleet racing format across Friday and Saturday, with three races scheduled per day. Sunday's action will see the final two fleet races completed before the top two teams advance to a winner-takes-all match race final.
After eight fleet races, points will be tallied using the America's Cup preliminary regatta scoring system, with the leading two boats earning a place in the head-to-head showdown for overall victory.
Fans around the race village will be able to follow every moment of the action on giant screens, while the America's Cup's dedicated radio channel will provide live commentary directly to mobile devices, ensuring spectators don't miss a second of the racing.
The event will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the presentation of the Preliminary Regatta Two trophies, alongside awards for the leading teams in the Women's and Youth rankings.
With world-class racing, a packed entertainment schedule and one of sailing's most famous cities as its backdrop, Naples is set to deliver one of the standout events of the 2026 sailing calendar.
